Microsoft AI team is working on a new noise cancellation solution that will remove the background noise from the sound. Company is using cutting edge artificial intelligence technologies for removing the background noise from the sound. This solution is will be available with the Microsoft Teams running on the Windows 10, 7, and 8.1 users and expected to release in November 2020. This feature is said to be very powerful and will help the users of Windows operating systems in removing unwanted noise while using Microsoft Teams.
These days’ big tech giants are using Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning techniques for developing cutting edge products for their clients. Being a technological firm Microsoft is developing many cutting edge innovating solutions for the users. The development of noise removal solutions another steps towards development of AI based products.
The new AI based solution will be very useful in reducing the background noise during meetings. Microsoft might bring AI based noise cancellation feature in their meeting and conference solutions.
Microsoft Teams is using the noise suppression technologies and it is being improved with the updates. This AI solution is expected to reduce the background sounds like clicking of pens, microphones issues, unwanted background noises and such similar noises. This feature is going give a boost to the Microsoft Teams software by enhancing the meeting experience.
As per the reports Microsoft AI team is working on these features for the last few months and now company is coming up with the solution in their Microsoft Teams meeting software.
Microsoft Teams is being used by millions of users around the world for conducting meetings and for online training classes. The sound cancellation technology will bring a new life to the Microsoft Teams software. This will further benefit the users of Microsoft Teams around the globe.
The noise suppression solution is based on the AI technology which uses a trained model for noise removal. The trained model will work on the sound feed and then remove the unwanted noise, and finally produce much cleaner sound. The model might remove the unwanted background sound like pen clicks, nose generated from fans, keyboard sound etc. This is a homegrown solution developed by the engineers of Microsoft by training deep neural networks.
According to Microsoft this solution will be an update to the existing noise cancellation features and users will be provided with the option to control the amount of noise to be suppressed.
“The ‘High’ setting is new and will suppress more background noise,” Microsoft updated in the roadmap document.
