The costumes of 'Jaanisaar' transport you to a beautiful era

13th August, 2015, Mumbai: The costumes designs of Jaanisaar have been much admired. Each piece was crafted keeping in mind the culture and essence of the time period. It took one year and over two hundred tailors, embroiderers and shoe makers to get the costumes ready.

In a recent video release by the makers of the film, Producer Meera Ali, Director Muzaffar Ali as well as the cast, Pernia and Imran reveal the grandeur and the labour involved to get these elaborate ensembles perfect.

'Jaanisaar' is a period drama starring the gorgeous Pernia Qureshi and Pakistani heartthrob Imran Abbas Naqvi in lead roles. Set 20 years after the first war of Indian independence in 1857, the film essays the love story of a revolutionary courtesan of Avadh, and a prince brought up in England. 'Jaanisaar' is directed by Muzaffar Ali of cult classic UmraoJaan fame and produced by Meera Ali. The film is set for release on August 7, 2015.
