Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Minority Affairs Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said that yoga is the golden key to good health and health is real wealth. Shri Naqvi, who participated in the first 'International Yoga Day'' at Faridabad along with thousands of people, congratulated Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, whose commitment has led to respect for yoga in the entire world.
Naqvi said that 'yoga is a key to good health, good health is the biggest wealth of a person'. Yoga provides energy to our body as well as our mind. It helps in maintaining a balance in our lifestyle. Yoga is the union of the individual self with the universal self. The aim of yoga is to calm the chaos of conflicting impulses.
The entire world is celebrating the yoga day today which is a proud moment for India. Shri Naqvi said that some ignorant people are linking yoga with religion. It is wrong, as yoga is purely related to health, mind and soul. Shri Naqvi said with the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Modi, 177 countries co-sponsored a resolution in the United Nations to declare 21 June as the 'International Yoga Day'.
The United Nations also observed that yoga is beneficial for all human being. Shri Naqvi said that even United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said yoga does not discriminate, and all people can practice yoga. Shri Naqvi said that the 'International Yoga Day' has increased the prestige of India and Prime Minister Shri Modi should be given congratulations for this. I also congratulate crores of people of the country as well citizens of other nations who participated in the yoga day with great enthusiasm. Shri Naqvi said that the entire world is today celebrating this 'health event with complete respect and dedication.'
