The statistics of World Health Organization shows that the deaths due to the infection of deadly Ebola virus exceeded 10,700 worldwide.
The number of recorded infection of the Ebola virus is calculated to be 25,863 as per the World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement on Monday.
Ebola virus is the deadly and highly infectious virus strain whose infection lead to death in most of the cases. The fatality rate of the Ebola virus infection is up to 90%. Till now there is no effective medicine or vaccine against Ebola virus.
The maximum number of deaths reported from Liberia is 4,486 cumulative and 10,042 infection cases.
In Sierra Leone 3,872 deaths has been reported while 12,256 infection cases has been regiseted.
In Guinea total of 2,357 deaths and 3,565 cases) has been registered.
Cases from the other places like Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Spain, Great Britain and the United States also registered.
In Nigeria 20 people reported and eight people have died.
Ebola virus is deadly and its symptoms includes haemorrhagic fever, fatal illness, vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, impaired kidney and liver function. Ebola infection is highly fatal and its fatality rate is upto 90%.
Ebola virus is not air born and only transmit through direct contact with the blood, body fluids and tissues of infected animals or people. Its incubation period is 2 to 21 days. As of now there is no cure, treatment or vaccine for this virus.
