MSG2 - The Messenger sets a new world record with a total of 99 houseful shows in two cities in one day!
The film set a new industry record of 99 houseful shows in One day in merely two towns, ie Bathinda and Karnal with 61 and 38 shows respectively. All the shows were houseful, announced the Northern India distributor, Pankaj Khemka and lasted 18 hours and 20 minutes while20784 persons watched the shows (East Punjab territory in Industry jargon).
It was entirely unprecedented that the shows started much before sunrise and went well past midnight. The total number of houseful shows for this film has already run into several hundred across the country.
Mr.Khemka added that while the film had grossed 34Crores in the first week of release, it was expected to do even better as it had opened in Punjab. He added that even towns like Rewari that had never seen a good response to any film were seeing houseful shows every day.
He said that the day was not far when MSG releases would see a solo release status in the country.
