K2 Learning - a premier Bangalore-based institute for commerce education today organized a seminar on career prospects for aspiring Chartered Accountancy (CA) and Company Secretary (CS) students enlightening them on how to take it up as a full-time career option.
The seminar held at Hotel Taj Vivanta in Bangalore saw a large number of students evincing keen interest in becoming CAs and CSs and making various inquiries from industry experts about the profession. Guest speakers on the occasion Sharada SC, Director of ICSI Bangalore Chapter and Vikas Pallival Founder Director, PEAK, Jodhpur, provided useful guidance to young commerce students on various aspects of how they could go about the exam preparations to pursue their CA/CS career.
Sripal Jain, Founder Chairman of the K2 Learning, himself a CA and having penned numerous books with Pearson on the subject of commerce, initiated the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the basic requirements for succeeding as CA/CS. He also spoke on his key topic “All about CA-CPT” at the seminar.
“Among all the competitive commerce exams, CA/CS is believed to be the toughest one. However, this should not discourage and de-motivate any student from pursuing their career in CA/CS. There are many aspects to CA/CS its curriculum which actually makes it interesting and at the same time important for one’s professional life. With the current rise in demand for the commerce professions, through such seminars, we aim to provide a platform for the students to completely fathom various aspects of the profession they strive to pursue,” says Sripal.
The day-long seminar coincided with the launch of a book – “Is CA my cup of tea?”penned by Sripal Jain. Speaking on some of the salient points of his book he said,“Is CA my cup of tea? seeks to identify and address myriad confusions in students’ mind that arise while deciding their career paths. The book helps them to understand and explore the various aspects of Chartered Accountancy. The book has been written in an effort to burst the numerous myths surrounding this course. It will help students make an informed decision with respect to their career in CA” adds Sripal. The book has been co-authored by Shruti E N.
Bhavesh Rajni, Professor, Christ University, was also another speaker at the seminar who provided guidance on the subjects of “How to Plan, Approach & Clear IPCC in first attempt”.
The seminar, open to both students and parents, is an attempt by K2 Learning to ‘connect’ students effectively to a future that hold great promise of a career as CA and CS and will give them ‘recognition, respect, authority, freedom and identity’ as a professional CA/CS.
