Indian cricket team's captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has made it to the 16th place on the recently released Forbes' list of highest-paid athletes in the world with an annual earning of $31.5 million. Last year Dhoni was ranked 31. The top spot has been made by Golfer Tiger Woods with a yearly earning of $78.1 million.
In addition to that, little master Sachin Tendulkar has been ranked 31st with an annual earning of $22 million. He is the only second Indian to make it to top 50 after Dhoni.
The second position in the list is Tennis star Roger Federer with $71.5 earning.
American basketball player Kobe Bryant was third with an income of $61.9 million.
Other major names in top 50 of Forbes' list of highest-paid athletes includes Ferrari's Fernando Alonso (19), Northern Ireland golfer Rory McIlroy (21), Lewis Hamilton (26), Novak Djokovic (28), Rafael Nadal (30) and Usain Bolt (40).
Among women athletes Maria Sharapova (22 rank) with an earning of $29 million, Serena Williams (68th) and Chinese tennis star Li Na (85th).
