As much as 19 tourists have been killed in a hot-air balloon explosion that occurred in Luxor city of Egypt on Tuesday morning.
A total 21 people were in the balloon when it dropped about 300 meters (almost 1,000 feet).
2 people, including the balloon's pilot, reportedly survived the crash.
19 foreign tourists included: 9 from Hong Kong, 4 from Japan, 3 from Britain, 2 from France and 1 from Hungary, officials said.
"The explosion happened in the early morning. The pressure is too high in the balloon and then fire of the engine touched the balloon and suddenly the balloon is on fire," a local tourist guide named Mohamed said.
The balloon belongs to the Sky Cruise Company.
Balloon rides offering aerial views of the Nile River are a popular tourist attraction in Luxor.
