Despite the winter season has knocked the capital, the incidence of dengue witnessed this year has surpassed the last three-year in New Delhi. The total number of dengue cases in the capital has crossed the digit of 5000 this year.
According to sources, there were total 5,115 dengue cases in the capital. Sources say that there was more than 6000 dengue cases in 2010. However it was very low in the year 2011 and 2012.
It has been said that despite the dipping in temperature in the October, there was a intermittent rains which was witnesses to the capital and it causes many chances to breed mosquitoes. However the circumstances of the temperature and its dipping with the rain mixed responses and dengue cases become on rise.
Needless to say the dengue cases in the capital created much hue and cry for the various government agencies. MCD and Delhi government continued to indulged in blame game to each other for the cause of growing dengue cases.
