A recent study by experts has revealed that consuming daily dose of vitamin D could be used to fight against Type 2 Diabetes effectively.
In this context, researchers are doing major clinical trials in order to confirm whether daily dose of vitamin D can really prevent or delay the condition, the Daily Express reported.
Moreover, researchers believe that the "sunshine vitamin" could effectively reduce the risk of diabetes significantly by 25 per cent.
The study led by Professor Philip Raskin, from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, will carry a four-year trial across America which tracking 2,500 people age 30 or older who are pre-diabetic.
The participants will be provided with a daily dose of vitamin D about five times higher than usually recommended.
