New Delhi, May 16 (ANI): The Indian IT infrastructure market including server, storage and networking equipments is expected to increase its spend by ten percent making the market rise to 2.1 billion dollars this year.
India's position in the infrastructure market across segments is expected to surpass the 2.9 billion mark by 2017, observed Naveen Mishra research director at Gartner.
In a report by Enterprise innovation, Indian IT infrastructure's server market is considered the biggest chunk of the entire market accounting for revenue projected to a total of 962.3 million dollars in 2017.
The private cloud adoption is driving the extension of virtualization beyond servers and is opted by leading organizations. As a result of this, new data centre implementations to meet consolidation and virtualization needs, with campus upgrades, and growing adoption of multimedia applications and mobility drive the networking market.
India provides for a strong growth opportunity across segments, including infrastructure, despite global economic challenges.
Continued investments in virtualization will drive server growth and as the trends intensify other technologies like cloud, social and big data will take centre stage, the reports added. (ANI)
