Washington, Jan. 21 (ANI): Singer Cyndi Lauper has a long list of praises for Barack Obama for his performance in the first term.
Lauper, who is performing at HRC's inaugural celebration on Monday, told POLITICO over e-mail that Obama kept the country from going into depression.
She said that he saved the auto industry, he ended the war in Iraq and he has advanced equality for all in significant ways.
The singer said that she was really impressed by the president in his first term, adding that as for the future, Lauper hopes Obama will prioritize issues like equality and homelessness.
She added that there is a lot of work that still needs to be done and she was relieved that the administration will be able to continue the great work it started in these areas. (ANI)
