Chris is back on track and so is AB de Villiers as there smoking knocks guided Royal Challengers Bangalore on an easy win over Kings XI Punjab. In the 25th match played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab, the former marked a 5 wicket win over the latter.
After winning the toss RCB decided to field first and KXIP were put on bat. They made a decent score of 163 for the loss of 6 wickets. David Hussey (41), Shaun Marsh (26) contributed well but it was debutant Azhar Mahmood whose 14 balls 33 took King XI to their score.
Although the start of RCB was not good and they lost 3 quick wickets but it was the composure of Gayle and delightful play of de Villiers that took over the quick loses. They together made a stand of 131 runs. AB de Villiers made 52 runs in 39 balls. Only the Parvinder Awana was the only outstanding bowler from King XI side as he took 4 RCB wickets.
Chris Gayle was given the man of the match for his 87 runs in 56 balls. He hit 4 sixes and 8 fours in his innings.
