Maharashtra government has decided to honour two veteran Bollywood film personalities eminent actress and dancer Madhuri Dixit and renowned art film Director Shyam Benegal from Raj Kapoor awards.
Moreover, it has also decided to honour Marathi film personalities in regional film category section to veteran actress Leela Gandhi and actor Dilip Prabhavalkar from prestigious V Shantaram award.
Raj Kapoor Lifetime achievement-2012 award will be given to Shyam Benegal while Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award-2012 will be conferred to Madhuri Dixit.
Similar, V. Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award – 2012 will be given to veteran actress Leela Gandhi while V. Shantaram Special Contribution Award will be conferred to actor Dilip Prabhavalkar, famous as Mahatma Gandhi in "Lage Raho Munnabhai".
Both Raj Kapoor and V Shantaram award comprise with a cash prize of Rs.200,000, a citation and a memento.
All the awards will be distributed at a public function.
