After facing major debacle in Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCD) elections, Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit tried to save it govt and said that it was not her election. Keeping side lined the facts she said that Congress has improved its net tally and BJP has lost seats with respect to previous tally.
In her first reaction after the poll results which was proved major setback for the Congress and also for her govt. in Delhi, Sheila said that this was not my election; when we contest, we will see what happens... it was the MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) election. Although Congress has improved its no. of seats from its last performance.
Commenting on the party poor performance she said it is no one's responsibility. Our seats have increased and BJP has won by a narrow margin. We will introspect the situation and corrective step will be taken, she added.
She ignored the issued of trifurcation of MCD on the results, she said that it was done for the betterment of the civic administration and it has nothing to do with the govt.
The BJP won in 138 of the 272 wards in the three newly created municipal corporations of Delhi while the Congress secured victory in 78 wards.
