Pak President likely to visit Ajmer next week

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is likely to visit Ajmer for paying obeisance at the shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti with his family next week.

In this regard, he has reportedly conveyed to the Indian government. India has welcomed to Pak president's visit.

The visit is expected to take place around April 8, official sources said.

However, according to Pak official sources, it will be a pure religious visit but India government sources say that India may try to explore the chances of political conversation between Pak President and Indian Prime Minister who last time met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Yekaterinberg in Russia in 2009.

From Indian side, Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahmed will present a chadar to Pak President for the Ajmer peace prayer.

Last Year, Pak President and Prime Minister Yusuf Raja Gillani both came to India on the invitation of Indian PM for watching the World Cup Semi-Final in Mohali held between India and Pakistan.
