Former US President George HW Bush is in Intensive Care Unit at Methodist Hospital, Texas after suffering from a stubborn fever his spokesman Jim McGrath said. He has been in intensive care since Sunday.
He said, "Bush is sick and likely will be in the hospital for a while after a terrible case of bronchitis which then triggered a series of complications."
Bush was admitted to Hospital on Nov. 23 for treatment. He had spent about a week there earlier in November for treatment of the same condition.
"He is alert and talking to medical staff", Jim added.
88-year-old Bush is the oldest living former president of US. He was the 41st President of US.
