Warne teases about possible Australian Test comeback yet again!

Sydney, Sun, 09 Dec 2012 ANI

Sydney, Dec. 9 (ANI): Spin king Shane Warne has again teased of making a comeback for Australia, declaring "anything is possible" as long as he feels he is bowling well enough.

The leg-spin great has been criticised for his poor start to the Melbourne Stars' Big Bash campaign on Friday night when he finished with 0-41 from two overs and also dropped a catch, yet speculation about a return to the Test arena refuses to go away.

"At the moment while you're still doing it, and still bowling really well, which I am, then I suppose anything is possible," the Herald Sun quoted Warne, as saying.

Warne said today talk of a Test comeback was still "hypothetical", but did not completely rule out the idea.

"At the moment, I have never said that I am coming out of retirement or anything like that," Warne said at the Stars' family day. I was asked if I could and I have no doubt I could," he said.

"Whether it's all going to get the serious stage and to the possibility where it might happen and things like that, it's a bit of fantasy at the moment. We'll worry about that later," he added.

Pressed on whether he wanted to make a Test return, Warne said: "I suppose at the moment, it is very difficult to say, especially after the Stars the other night. There will be a time soon when I physically can't move my arm over, I can't move and I can't do anything of those things and even playing club cricket with some friends is not even an option."

Warne also said his discussions with Michael Clarke about a return had never been formal.

"Pup and I are best mates, so we often joke about it, but it has never really got to the serious stage. But I know if I am bowling really well, which I am, then things might happen. But at this stage it's all hypothetical. It's not (at the) serious stage at this stage," he said. (ANI)
