New Delhi, Nov 2 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today condoled the passing away of senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former Union Minister K. Yerran Naidu and said that the nation has lost a distinguished parliamentarian and political personality who made valuable contribution to the public life.
In his condolence message, Dr. Singh said: "I have learned with profound sorrow about the tragic demise of Yerran Naidu in a road accident. In his death, we have lost a distinguished parliamentarian and political personality who made a valuable contribution to public life in Andhra Pradesh and India."
"My heart goes out in sympathy to the members of the bereaved family," he added.
Naidu died in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district this morning. He was 55.
The car in which Naidu was travelling collided with a lorry around 2 a.m. near Ranasthalam in Srikakulam district.
He was rushed to a private hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
His funeral will take place this afternoon at his village in Srikakulam. (ANI)
