Kabul, Afghanistan, Sept. 26 (Xinhua-ANI): A suicide bombing shocked Logar's provincial capital Pul-e-Alam 60 km south of capital Kabul on Wednesday, casualties feared, deputy to provincial police chief Raes Khan said.
"It was a suicide attack which happened next to a military base in Auni area of Pul-e-Alam at around 10:00 a.m. local time, casualties feared," Khan told Xinhua.
However, he did not provide more details, saying the details will be made public after completion of investigation.
Meantime, another official said on the condition of anonymity that the target was foreign troops.
On the other hand, an eye witness who introduced himself as Mohammad Rahim told Xinhua that the attacker targeted NATO-led forces inflicted casualties.
The NATO-led forces in a statement released here confirmed that insurgents' attack left two soldiers dead on Wednesday. (Xinhua-ANI)
