New Delhi, Aug 6 (ANI): In an endeavor to ensure a smooth Monsoon Session of Parliament scheduled to begin from August 8, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has called for an all-party meeting here on Monday.Today's meeting has been convened to seek assurances from leaders of various political parties that proceedings of the month-long session would not be disrupted.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led opposition is likely to raise a number of issues in the Monsoon Session of Parliament, including corruption, price rise and drought situation in the country.
Moreover, Team Anna's demands are also likely to put pressure on the ruling UPA Government during the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
The Budget Session of Parliament was earlier this year disrupted over the contentious issues of the Lokpal Bill and black money stashed in safe havens abroad. (ANI)
