London, August 5 (ANI): Imogen Thomas, who suffered from depression and was left distraught after her affair with married Manchester United star Ryan Giggs shocked the nation, is truly blooming now because she has not only found a man whom she adores but is also three-months pregnant.
As the 29-year-old model broke the news, she broke down again.
"I can't believe how happy I am. What happened last year was utterly horrendous," the Sun quoted her as saying.
"I never thought I would find happiness again but finding love then falling pregnant has transformed my life.
"I can't wait to be the best mum I possibly can be. I am so, so excited.
"Knowing my child is growing inside me is just mind-blowing.
"I am now 12 weeks and am due in January. I'm convinced I'm having a girl because I can't stop being sick and eating potatoes of all descriptions. My mum had the same symptoms with me.
"I have been trying to cover my bump with baggy clothes but my boobs are growing huge too and I think people are starting to notice.
"I'm really excited to finally come out and say, 'I'm going to be a mummy'. Last year was a nightmare. Now I'm the happiest I've ever been.
"Adam and I have been together for just ten months. It has been a whirlwind but when you are in love I don't think it matters how fast or slow you take things," she said.
Imogen was crowned Miss Wales in 2003 and shot to further fame in 2006 on 'Big Brother'. She later went on to show off her famous figure in a series of sexy photoshoots.
But it was her romance with married footballer Giggs which last year thrust her back into the spotlight.
The winger took out a super-injunction to try to prevent details of the affair becoming public - but the gagging order was later lifted.
Imogen suffered taunts over social networking sites, abuse in the street, was stricken by depression, and she and her family even received death threats. She was on antidepressants and started drinking too much.
Her body shot up two dress sizes as she started binge-eating to cope with her unhappiness.
She decided to put her love life on hold and made a promise to herself not to look at any more men in 2011.
However, all this was before she met Aussie-born City trader Adam in October. (ANI)
