Moily launches CMA Support Centre nationally

Chickballapur (Karnataka), July 16 (ANI): Union Corporate Affairs Minister Veerappa Moily recently launched the CMA Support Centre of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Chickballapur Udyog Mela 2012 at Chickballapur, Karnataka, Moily expressed his happiness over the initiative of the institute to provide career and employment opportunities for youth from rural and semi-urban areas to get a professional accounting qualifications, by announcing the Pan India launch.

Almost 15000 students participated in the career mela held over the weekend.

M. Gopalakrishnan, President of the Institute, thanked Moily for providing vision and guidance for the institute to spread cost competitiveness in the industry by providing them fully qualified and management accountants through initiatives such as the CMA Support Centres.

He said such centres will be targeted to be opened in rural and semi urban areas, as suggested by Moily and suitable training will be provided to the youth from those areas to be industry ready.

He announced that the institute is planning to open 1000 such centres throughout India with the help of various educational institutions and other eligible organizations. he institute is also in touch with state governments in providing practical orientation to the students at the higher secondary stage and the graduation stage so that they can become fully qualified professionals.

He also said that the Institute is planning to start country wide class rooms through media such as TV and IT enabled WEBINAR which will bring experts on the subject at the national level to train the students directly either at home or their Laptop.

The CMA support centres and the chapters of the institute will also enable the students to get practical training in IT, taxations, corporate law and other areas.

The launch of the CMA Support Centre was facilitated by the Chairman, SIRC and the Bangalore Chapter of the Institute. (ANI)
