Islamabad, June 8 (ANI): British Foreign Secretary William Hague will visit Islamabad next week apparently to broker a deal between Pakistan and the United States, in a bid to end the months-long deadlock in the troubled relationship between the estranged allies.
Hague's trip coincides with the visit of U.S. Assistant Defense Secretary Peter Levoy, who will be in the capital to sort out differences with Pakistani authorities on resumption of NATO supply lines, reports The Express Tribune.
Diplomatic sources have confirmed that Hague would discuss the issue of tension with the U.S. with the Pakistani leadership.
The official added that Britain had been part of efforts seeking de-escalation of tensions between Pakistan and the U.S. (ANI)
