London, Wed, 30 May 2012 ANI

London, May 30 (ANI): Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has said he will not tolerate racism and would walk off the pitch if targeted, while playing for Italy during Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.

The City 'bad boy' said he would 'kill anyone' who throws bananas at him in Poland and Ukraine.

"If someone throws a banana at me in the street, I will go to prison because I will kill him," The Sun quoted Balotelli, as saying.

Balotelli, 21, was subjected to racist abuse from fans during his days at Inter Milan back in 2009 when he had bananas thrown at him during a match, and also during City's Europa League tie with Porto in February.

"Racism is unacceptable to me, I cannot bear it. I hope there will not be a problem at the Euros because if it does happen I would straight away leave the pitch and go home.We are in 2012, it can't happen," the Italy striker outlined.

Another incident in Italy occurred when Balotelli was racially abuse from Juventus fans.

"Occasionally, you're so good that people can't think of any other way to make you angry. They think the only way to play badly is to provoke you. I had to pretend that I hadn't seen anything because I wanted to play," he said. (ANI)
