Abu Dhabi, April 29 (IANS/WAM) More than 15 tonnes of waste have been collected in a campaign to clean the seabed off a number of ports in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The campaign "Dive together to clean our Capital Ports" was launched April 28-29 by the Abu Dhabi Terminals.
More than 150 professional divers and 120 volunteers took part in the campaign at the Mina Zayed, the Free Port, New Free Port and Musaffah Port.
The waste - including plastics, glass bottles and iron pieces - has been taken by Waste Management Centre in Abu Dhabi.
