Beijing, Apr 21 (ANI): Two Tibetan men have reportedly died after they set themselves on fire in protest against China's political and religious repression.
The men, identified as Sonam Kyap and Choephak Kyap, were in their twenties.
The two men appeared critically injured after setting themselves on fire and were taken away by local residents, The BBC reports.
According to rights groups, the men later died.
Thirty-four Tibetans have so far self-immolated, mostly in the restive south-western province of Sichuan.
China, which claims Tibetan areas are an inseparable part of the country, accuses the Dalai Lama for inciting the self-immolations and encouraging separatism, a claim he denies.
Many Tibetans say that Tibet is an independent country that was colonised by China, and accuse China of political and religious repression. (ANI)
