London, Apr 11 (ANI): England pacer Stuart Broad is not expected to make his IPL debut for a second consecutive year, as calf injury has ruled him out of all cricket for three more weeks.
Broad has been forced to withdraw from his IPL contract with Kings XI Punjab as he has failed to recover from the calf injury that ruled him out of last weekend's second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo.
Instead he will train with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge under the supervision of the England and Wales Cricket Board's medical staff, The Telegraph reports.
"Broad will be assessed regularly over the coming weeks with a view to returning to cricket with Nottinghamshire in early May," said the ECB.
Last year Broad was forced to withdraw from his Kings XI Punjab contract after he sustained a side injury playing for England in the World Cup. (ANI)
