Mumbai, April 10 (IANS) India's Aditya Mehta lost to highly-rated Chinese opponent Xiao Guodong in the second round of the World Snooker Championships in Sheffield.
In the first session Monday, Xiao was quite superb and took a huge 8-1 lead. However, in the evening session Aditya started of very well with breaks of 70, 140 to close the gap to 8-4.
Aditya had a chance to close the gap further to 8-5 and Xiao seemed to be feeling the pressure, but he held on to close the match with two breaks of 60 and win 10-4.
In the four frames Aditya won, he had two breaks of 70 and 140.
