Two girls die in a box

Beijing, April 10 (IANS) Two Chinese girls died after being trapped in a box while playing hide-and-seek.

The incident occurred in Longchang county in Sichuan province, China Daily reported Tuesday.

Zhou Liya, 9, was visiting her cousin Zhang Yue, also 9, on April 2. The girls disappeared that day. Their families tried all possible means to find them but failed.

On April 7, the girls' bodies were discovered by Zhang Yue's father while he was looking for some maintenance tools in his own home. He says that he smelled something decaying and found the girls trapped in boxes.
