Beijing, April 10 (IANS) The story of the Titanic shipwreck has been found in a Chinese textbook for primary school students published 100 years ago, China Daily reported Tuesday.
The book was first published in June 1912, two months after the sinking of the ship on April 15, 1912, curator Zhan Hongge told the daily.
The book is the first batch of textbooks published after the Revolution of 1911, which overthrew China's last imperial dynasty. It is preserved in Zhan's museum.
The Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City.
