New Delhi, April 8 (IANS) The capital experienced a hot Sunday with the maximum and minimum temperatures soaring above average, the met department said.
Sunday's maximum and minimum temperature settled three notches above average at 36.6 and 22.1 degrees Celsius, an India Meteorological Department official told IANS.
Humidity levels wavered between a high of 68 and a low of 19 percent.
The met department has forecast Monday to remain cloudy.
"The skies will remain partly cloudy tomorrow (Monday) and the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 38 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively," the IMD official added.
Saturday's maximum temperature was 37.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above average while the minimum settled at 22 degrees Celsius, two notches above average.
