London, April 7 (IANS) Karl Lagerfeld, fashion designer and creative director of Chanel, is reportedly set to design luxury helicopters.
The German fashion designer, known for his creativity in brands like Fendi, Hennes and Mauritz (H&M), Hogan and Chole, is collaborating with helicopter-maker Agusta Westland to re-design its line of VIP choppers, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The 78-year-old, who also designed bottles for Coke, will now redesign both interiors and exteriors of the company's AW139, a twin-engine helicopter that can seat up to 15 people. But his work could extend to other commercial models also.
The company told the Women's Wear Daily magazine that "it admires Lagerfeld's creativity and sophisticated style and will use his talents to introduce a new, limited edition, customised solution to its customers".
