Saeed calls on Pak to tell India, US it won't toe their line over national issues

Lahore, Sat, 07 Apr 2012 ANI

Lahore, Apr 7(ANI): Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has said Pakistan is in a state of war after being surrounded by armed enemies from both east and the west, who want to separate Balochistan to have access to the Gwadar Port, and to deprive it of its nuclear arsenals.

"Pakistan should take a firm stand on all issues of national importance and tell the Indians as wells as Americans in unequivocal terms that it will not take any decision against its national interest," The Nation quoted Saeed, as saying.

His statement comes after the US has put a 10 million dollar bounty on his head.

He said Pakistan should formulate a firm stance keeping in view its national interests, and added that the country should not adopt defensive stance on defence and security issues.

He stressed the government to settle its affairs with the US in a cautious manner because it was playing into Indian hands at the moment.

Saeed said that the US attack on Afghanistan after 9/11 terror strikes was a declaration of crusade against the Muslims and that all US military engagements worldwide were directed against Muslims, including that of Iraq and Afghanistan or Somalia and Sudan in Africa. (ANI)
