New Delhi, Apr 4 (ANI): The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
Dr. Singh in his message said Lord Mahavir's teachings based on the principle of unity of life inspire us to strive towards the timeless values of truth, non-violence and compassion.
"May this occasion bring happiness and prosperity to all," he added.
Mahavir Jayanti, also known as Mahavir Janma Kalyanak is the most important religious holiday. It celebrates the birth of Mahavira, the last Tirthankara. (ANI)
