London, Apr 3 (ANI): David Beckham has lent his name to fast food franchise Burger King, as he is promoting one of the chain's new healthier products - a 310 calorie strawberry banana smoothie.
In an ad, the LA Galaxy star is seen heating up the counter of the fast food restaurant as he approaches a server to order.
"Can I get one of those new strawberry banana smoothies?" he says.
The completely captivated woman, who can't help but stare at the football star, is forced to ask him to repeat the question asking, "What did you say?"
Beckham is then morphed into a whole new light, the Daily Mail reported.
With a golden light illuminating his physique, gone is his casual blue shirt and he looks dapper in a suit, with his hair slicked back.
"Hello beautiful. May I please have a strawberry/banana smoothie?" he says with a sexy smile.
Still unable to concentrate on what he is saying or what she is doing, the woman is interrupted by her shop manager, who apologises for the delay.
"I am sorry David we make them fresh every time with fruit," the manager says, referring to the smoothie.
But before long, the woman's superior is also captivated by Beckham's charm, who thanks him before leaving the restaurant.
The commercial comes as Burger King has been making changes to their menu in order to improve falling sales.
The result is a changed menu which features frappe coffees, smoothies, chicken strips and snack wraps.
To get the word out about the changes, Burger King is rolling out its biggest marketing campaign ever.
The television ads feature celebrities, including Beckham, as well as comedian Jay Leno and actress Salma Hayek.
In one spot, R and B singer Mary J Blige croons the ingredients of the snack wraps. (ANI)
