Noida, Mar 31 (ANI): A massive fire broke out in a slum colony in Uttar Pradesh's Noida area on Saturday claiming two persons lives.
The fire gutted more than 50 shanties and rendered hundreds of people homeless.
Bereaved slum dwellers complained about the late arrival of fire tenders and added that the belongings of daily wagers living in the area had turned into ashes.
An eye witness said though the reason was not ascertained but they assume that it might have occurred due to the gas leakage.
"Around 50 shanties have been burnt. I think, the fire occurred because of the cylinder gas leakage as 10 cylinders were found exploded. May be some people are also trapped in the debris," said an eyewitness. (ANI)
