Ex US President Bush endorses Romney for White House race

Washington, Mar 29(ANI): Former American president George Bush has endorsed Republican candidate and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney for the White House race.

Bush's endorsement was expected after he told the Houston Chronicle that he thought Romney was "the best choice for us."

His wife, Barbara Bush, had formally endorsed Romney and recorded calls on his behalf that were used to sway voters in the Super Tuesday states of Ohio and Vermont, The Los Angeles Times reports.

Bush had said that she and her husband had known the Romney "for years" and added she believed Romney was "the best man to lead the country for the next four years."

Florida Governor Jeb Bush has also announced his support for Romney last week. (ANI)
