New York, Mar 28 (ANI): US President Barack Obama has expanded his online presence by joining the popular social networking site Pinterest.
The account for Barack Obama was launched last month, but only began pinning Tuesday, reported Mashable.
Pinterest users pin links to items they love or find inspirational, on an online board.
The site provides Team Obama with a rapidly growing platform to deliver its re-election message. It received "more than 17.8 million unique visitors in February from the US alone," reports VentureBeat.
The Obama campaign announced the board in a tweet:

he President's first pins ranged from pets to political buttons. Some of the Pinterest boards created on Obama's account include Pet Lovers for Obama, Obama-inspired recipes, The First Family, ObamArt and Faces of Changed, the New York Daily News reported.
Notable pins already include the Obama Family Chili Recipe, photos from the White House and a shirt that reads 'Health Reform Still A BFD.'
The Pinyerest page, managed by his Obama for America campaign staff, already has more than 1,500 followers and 40 pins.
Obama is not the only political figure on the site. He joins Ann Romney, Mitt Romney's wife, who signed up last month. (ANI)
