Kejriwal appeals to Indian lawmakers to introspect

Ghaziabad, Tue, 27 Mar 2012 ANI

Ghaziabad, Mar 27 (ANI): Seeking to justify his view that the Indian Parliament houses 'thieves and dacoits', Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the country's lawmakers to introspect.

Talking to media here, Kejriwal said instead of targeting social activist Anna Hazare and his team, lawmakers should look deeper.

"That is exactly what I am saying I would urge all the politicians to do a little amount of introspection. They are all targeting us. Targeting us will not solve the problem, the problem has become very deep, the problem has become real, and they should realise the problem and try to find solutions to it," Kejriwal added.

Kejriwal had on Sunday released a list of 14 ministers who, he claimed would be facing investigation under charges of corruption if a strong ombudsman bill is passed.e took the names of around 25 politicians, including ministers Sharad Pawar, S.M. Krishna, P.Chidambaram, Praful Patel, Kapil Sibal, Kamal Nath, Farooq Abdullah, Ajit Singh, Sri Prakash Jaiswal, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Vilasrao Deshmukh, M.K. Azhagiri and G.K. Vasan.

"If the Lokpal Bill comes into force, FIRs will be lodged against 14 ministers of the Union Government," he said.

"Who will punish people like them? Delhi Police or the CBI? No one knows because these people will never pass Lokpal Bill," Kejriwal said. (ANI)
