Washington, Mar 27 (ANI): A Florida man who allegedly hacked into the email accounts of celebrities like Christina Aguilera, Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson, faces up to 60 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges.
Christopher Chaney, 35, of Jacksonville, Florida, was arrested in October as part of a yearlong investigation of celebrity hacking that authorities dubbed "Operation Hackerazzi," Fox News reported
He pleaded guilty in Los Angeles Federal court to nine felony counts on Monday. His charges include unauthorized access to computers and wiretapping.
According to prosecutors, he hacked into the email accounts of more than 50 people in the entertainment industry, including Aguilera and Johansson. Nude photos that Johansson had taken of herself were later posted on the Internet. Aguilera's private photos were also put up online. (ANI)
