New Delhi, Mon, 26 Mar 2012 ANI

New Delhi, Mar.26 (ANI): Cutting across party lines, Members of Parliament on Monday criticized Team Anna, and especially Right to Information (RTI) activist Arvind Kejriwal, for demanding the filing of criminal cases against 14 Cabinet Ministers.

The politicians spared no words while condemning Kejriwal for his accusation that most of them were corrupt. He also condemned his mockery of them.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said, "Leaders are being mocked by Team Anna. They are insulting the leaders. We condemn Team Anna for their comments on Sunday."

Communist Party of India leader Gurudas Dasgupta said: "Kejriwal is not God. Kejriwal gets money from the Ford Foundation. He should show proof to back his allegations."

Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni said: "The UPA government is doing its best to eliminate corruption. If Anna Hazare, or anyone else makes accusations, the charges will be probed."

Addressing participants at a venue where veteran social activist Anna Hazare was on a day-long fast on Sunday, Kejriwal took the names of around 25 politicians, including ministers Sharad Pawar, S.M. Krishna, P.Chidambaram, Praful Patel, Kapil Sibal, Kamal Nath, Farooq Abdullah, Ajit Singh, Sri Prakash Jaiswal, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Vilasrao Deshmukh, M.K. Azhagiri and G.K. Vasan.

"If the Lokpal Bill comes into force, FIRs will be lodged against 14 ministers of the Union Government," he said.

"Who will punish people like them? Delhi Police or the CBI? No one knows because these people will never pass Lokpal Bill," Kejriwal said. (ANI)
