Margaret Thatcher regretted getting into politics

London, Mar 26(ANI): Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher had reportedly confessed that she would not have joined politics if she had her time again.

The Iron Lady bitterly regretted her chosen career as it threw her family into turmoil, the Daily Star reported.

Thatcher made the shock confession to Baron Michael Spicer in 1995.

In his recently published diaries, Lord Spicer said the ex-PM wished she had not been in the Commons because of "what it does to your family".

She was loyally supported by her husband Denis throughout his career, but her son Sir Mark had a playboy reputation. (ANI)
