Seoul, March 26 (IANS) As many as 51 interpreters, including one who speaks Hindi, have been hired to handle the gaggle of languages at the two-day Seoul nuclear summit, a media report said.
A staggering 58 world leaders have gathered in South Korea for the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit that opened Monday.
The Chosun Ilbo said that 51 interpreters for 18 languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Hindi, Kazakh, Turkish and Arabic, have been hired.
The interpreters will provide services during the summit sessions, official luncheons and dinners, and press conferences.
What the world leader's say will be first interpreted in English and then to other languages.
