Bhopal, Mar 24 (ANI): The Madhya Pradesh Government on Saturday ordered a probe into the alleged stripping of two dalit girls in state's Narsinghpur District.
It is reported that the two dalit girls, who had come to appear for their board examinations in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur District, were allegedly stripped by female invigilators in front of 40 male students.
Criticizing the Madhya Pradesh Government over the incident, Senior Congress leader P L Punia said: "It is a very unfortunate incident, a girl who goes to give an exam with dreams in her eyes of brighter future and a 'crime' of this kind is committed on her, it is highly condemnable and in the rule of Bharatiya Janata Party women are insulted, they are exploited, particularly in Madhya Pradesh, the situation is very grim," said Punia.
The incident, which took place on March 15 during the Class X mathematics examination, was reported to the district administration on Friday.
The incident occurred during an anti-cheating drive in the government higher secondary school in Barhebara village in Narsinghpur District.
On suspicion of illegitimate means being used in the examination, two female examiners made two girls, belonging to a dalit community, were made to strip before the male students present in the examination hall. (ANI)
