London, Mar 22 (ANI): Football legend Diego Maradona has told ex-goalkeeper Peter Shilton to "get over" his Hand of God goal, which resulted in the elimination of England from the 1986 World Cup.
In the 1986 World Cup, Maradona scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over England that entered football history, though for two different reasons.
The first goal was via an unpenalized handball known as the "Hand of God", while the second goal followed a 60 m (66 yards) dribble through six England players, voted "The Goal of the Century".
The Argentine star, now boss of the Dubai club Al Wasl, hit out after former England goalkeeper Shilton, 62, visited nearby Abu Dhabi but refused to see him, The Daily Star reports.
Maradona, 51, said: "The incident is just a memory." (ANI)
