Washington, Mar 21 (ANI): Barack Obama cracked a joke about his birth certificate as he received a Certificate of Irish Heritage from the Prime Minister of Ireland Edna Kenny.
The US president celebrated his Irish roots on Tuesday evening, with a St Patrick's Day reception at the White House, CBS News reported.
When Kenny presented the certificate Obama joked, "This will have a special place of honour, alongside my birth certificate."
Democratic Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and his celtic rock band "O'Malley's March" provided the evening's entertainment, or as Obama put it, "rocked the White House."
On the actual holiday last Saturday, Obama enjoyed a Guinness on a surprise visit to the Dubliner Restaurant and Pub in Washington. (ANI)
