Washington, Mar 21(ANI): Katy Perry subtly insulted Beyonce in an interview where she talked about her planned duet with Rihanna.
The 27-year-old pop star said she didn't want her proposed song to turn out like 'Beautiful Liar' - a 2007 collaboration between Beyonce and Shakira, which hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
"We've collaborated on a lot of things, but just not songs yet...It's one of those things that's got so much build up that we have to deliver," Us magazine quoted her as telling BBC Radio.
"I want it to be like that Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin song 'Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves'... not 'Beautiful Liar'".
Referring to their upcoming collaboration she said: 'It's one of those things where it's gotten so much build up that if we don't' deliver, like, the best song... We're both busy, but we planted a seed two years ago, we're just looking for that special one.
Perry added that she would be "disappointed" if her song wasn't well received.
"How disappointed would you be if that song came out and it's no good? Sometimes you have to wait for greatness," she said. (ANI)
