Washington, Mar 17 (ANI) Actor-director Tyler Perry hosted a fundraiser at his home for the US president Barack Obama.
Tickets cost 35,000 dollars per person, and approximately 60 people were expected, CBS News reported.
The event at Perry's home is one of five fundraisers Obama was to attend, with two other events in Chicago earlier that day.
The one held at Tyler Perry Studios, featured a performance by singer and 'The Voice' judge Cee Lo Green.
It was attended by 1,000 people with general admission tickets starting at 500 dollars. A limited number of tickets sold for 250 dollars.
All proceeds from Friday's trio of events - expected to total more than 5 million dollars, which will go to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee authorized by Obama for America and the Democratic National Committee. (ANI)
