New Delhi, Mar 16 (ANI): Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi on Friday refused to comment on the condemnation resolution moved by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) against him, saying he had no idea about it.
Trivedi, however, said he had immense faith in the people of the country, who appreciated him for his outstanding commitment.
"I have no idea about it. I think talk to the people of this country. I think people of the country have reacted very positively and I have got many messages and I am touched and I am humbled," Trivedi told the media outside Parliament here.
"And through you, I want to express my gratitude to the people of this country, who have come forward in appreciating whatever I am doing," he added.
Trivedi is in the eye of a storm of his own party, the Trinamool Congress (TMC), ever since he presented the Railway Budget for 2012-13.
The TMC legislators have passes a condemnation resolution, condemning hike in rail fares, proposed in the Railway Budget by party man Dinesh Trivedi.
West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee had earlier demanded that Trivedi be sacked for snapping an eight-year populist trend to not raise passenger train fares.
She demanded that another TMC leader Mukul Roy, who is presently the Minister of State for Shipping, be appointed as the Railway Minister. (ANI)
